Congratulations to our Transition Year (TY) students, their drama teacher Ciara and tutors on their creative and talent filled variety show ‘Anything is Possible.’
This year the cast was a little different as traditionally our school musical cast are TY students only. This year our TY students welcomed students from St. John’s College and some of our own fifth year students to be part of the cast. This inclusively certainly added to the entertainment!
The students requested that they incorporate a ‘ Positive Mental Health’ message, through song and drama. This was a touching and sensitive moment for all present. The students said they wanted people to know that as students in St. Dominic’s they are encouraged to seek help when feeling down.. Niamh Redmond (TY) passionately read a statement fining with the CA Suicide logo ‘ Its Ok Not to Be OK and its Absolutely OK to Ask for Help’. Niamh reminded those present that we are a proud CA Suicide Ambassador School for the fourth year in a row!
Mrs Daly Principal l concluded her thank you speech with ” Ballyfermot definitely has talent!”
Some of the Facebook comments from those present” ‘ Wow what a show’, ‘ Great talent’ , ‘Fantastic show’ ‘Well done all involved the show was brilliant’
