“Mol an Óige” -Praise the Youth
To help our first year students make a Successful Transition from Primary School to Secondary School.
We have an innovative programme designed to make the transition from primary school to secondary school an enjoyable and positive experience for all our students by encouraging a sense of belonging in our caring school community.
As part of this programme we invite our 1st year students to take part in a two day induction programme, facilitated by SCP , our 5th Year Mentors and prefects, a week before school officially begins. This is to give the 1st years an opportunity to become accustomed to the school building but most importantly for the girls to build positive relationships with each other as a year group.
As part of the two days induction we have a family lunch, to enable parents / guardians, brothers, sisters and grand-parents to become familiar with the school and staff.
