On Saturday morning, 12th October, students and staff from Saint Dominic’s Secondary School, took on the challenge of completing a 5mile run in The Phoenix Park in aid of the Simon Community. Members of the running club, which takes place every Wednesday after school , decided to take part in this run following a successful healthy living and active week in the school to raise money for the homeless. All staff and students crossed the finishing line in good time , including the principal Mary Daly who completed the 5mile course in 70mins! Overall it was an extremely well organised fun event for a serious cause, and feedback from both the students and staff suggests that this will not be the last run that the school takes part in in the future.
