On Friday the 26th of January, a number of our students took part in the West Leinsters’ Cross Country Running Competition. On what was a bitter cold winters day in Phoenix Park, the girls gave it their all and competed in each category. It was a very tough running day with a strong wind and well over 100 competitors in each age group.
Our students were delighted and proud after taking part as was their teacher Ms Dunphy. All agreed that next year they will heed the advice to wear warm clothes and wrap up well!
Going forward the group all aim to improve their running and would be happy to compete again next year. The photos show some happy faces before and after the races. Well done girls! ‘
